The court had various proprietors in the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth hundreds of years, including the Barons of Oxford and Lords Mortimer. It stays a confidential house that is sometimes opened to general society and is a Grade I recorded building. The steady block has its own Grade I posting, and the nursery house, initially one of two on the site of a previous walled garden, is recorded Grade II*. The nurseries at Llanvihangel are recorded at Grade I on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Extraordinary Memorable Interest in Grains.
